Term Accomplishments
As I prepare to run for my second term on the Parma City Council, I am both humbled and excited to continue serving our vibrant community. Over the past few years, we have accomplished so much together, and I am eager to build on our successes with your continued support.
During my first term, I was proud to advocate for and achieve several key initiatives:
Infrastructure: I voted for several projects in the seven figures, to reduce flooding in Parma
Enhancing Safety: I voted to fund police cruisers, EMT trucks and other equipment to keep our police and fire departments up to date and in compliance
Supporting First-Time Home Buyers: We hosted valuable home buyer seminars to guide and assist those taking their first step into homeownership.
Celebrating Diversity: Worked with the Parma Police Dept. to develop a more inclusive recruiting method and network to hire a more diverse workforce. I introduced and successfully passed resolutions to recognize February as Black History Month, honoring the rich history and contributions of the Black community in Parma.
Fostering Community Spirit: Our first-ever Ward 1 Picnic was a wonderful success, bringing neighbors together and strengthening our sense of community.
Providing for Children in Need: Thanks to the generosity of Pitt Ohio, we were able to distribute hundreds of toys to children in need at Chevy Brook Estates, brightening their holidays and bringing joy to many families. We also co-hosted a “Breakfast with Santa” with Ward 2.
In addition to these achievements, I remain steadfast in my support for reproductive freedom and workers' rights, including union support and the right to bargain. I also voted to increase penalties for assaulting CWA workers while doing their jobs, further demonstrating my commitment to worker safety.
